Angkor Transcending & wisdom gathering 2013
First off an apology is in order for the error in last month’s newsletter regarding dates for the unique training in Transcending Entities & Transmutation at Angkor in December. The CORRECT dates are as follows: Friday 6 December for the 1-day lecture/theory, and Saturday 7 – Sunday 8 for hands-on experience in the field. Just a reminder that this incredible opportunity is open to all Transcending Entities and Transmutation students, Apprentices and Professionals who would like to be a part of what promises to be a truly remarkable experience. For those of you who are new to Transcending Entities & Transmutation and would like to participate in the training, there is still plenty of time to make sure you meet the prerequisites (minimum Siam Reiki level 2 or equivalent, and Developing Psychic Awareness). You can contact any one of the many Siam Reiki Professionals across the globe to discuss your training options in preparation for this extraordinary and mind-blowing journey!
And the great news is that the December fun doesn’t need to stop there! An opportunity to spend more time learning about and exploring other healing modalities, traditions and a whole host of other activities in this field will be coming December 13-16 with the first WISDOM GATHERING in THAILAND hosted by the Siam Traditional Doctors Association (STDA). The objective of a Wisdom Gathering is to provide a platform from which the 52+12+1 World Councilcan impart indigenous wisdom on a global scale, guiding communities through ceremonies and other community-building events lead by local and international Elders and Wisdom Keepers, who come from a vast variety of traditions and backgrounds. In these times of great change when the Planet is undergoing much transformation and many of us are finding that our souls are calling to speed-up the necessary experiences of their soul’s journey, Wisdom Gatherings provide an open space and thus a ‘short-cut’ for these experiences and positive changes to occur. Four Wisdom Keepers and Elders of the World Council will be coming together with Local Thai Wisdom Keepers & Elders, communities and interested persons at the Wisdom Gathering this December, to offer traditional wisdom and insights as a foundation for co-creating a new, more sustainable, balanced, harmonious and effective perspective on community and world issues. The program and venue for this exhilarating and not-to-be-missed event in Thailand are currently in the final stages of preparation, so keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks for an exclusive feature on the 2013 WISDOM GATHERING in THAILAND!

what is your inner nature (pam)
Learn about Pam's insightful new meditation course offered exclusively by the IAHHS
Pam’s journey into becoming a meditation teacher began when she learnt Siam Reiki 6 years ago. She went on to study all the other supporting subjects available to her, and the more she learnt, the more hungry she was to develop herself further. Two years or so after first entering the weird and wonderful world of Siam Reiki, Pam decided to explore yoga classes. But having tried several, she found herself becoming increasingly frustrated: ‘My body was quite inflexible and the teachers seemed to be more interested in showing how good they were at the postures than actually helping the students with them’, so she decided to tackle this problem by enrolling on a course that trained her to teach yoga herself. After completing her training she went on to teach small yoga classes. What she came to discover was that when doing the meditations at the end of classes, she was actually channelling the meditations according to what needed to be present for the students at that moment. This aroused her curiosity to do further research into meditation so that she could develop what she was doing at the end of the yoga sessions with her students. From there she went on to teach a group meditation by itself, with a program progressing over 2-3 weeks. Over the year that followed she went on to develop the structure, which has now formed itself into the 3-level Inner Nature and Chakras course. The first level of this looks at the basics of meditation, breathing, focus and insight, and consists of 8 1½-hour sessions normally spread over 4 weeks in order to give the student time to integrate each session into their experience. The second level goes further in-depth, and is based on contemplation, teaching the student how to take a spiritual thought and to explore that thought. The third level of Pam’s program teaches the student how to teach meditation themselves. The second and third programs will be finalised and ready for teaching in their new structure in the near-future. Pam’s approach with her Inner Nature and Chakras meditation program is: ‘to keep it as simple as possible, so that the student can easily replicate the meditations by themselves. In the early stages in particular it is about teaching the student how to take a break from themselves’. This is quite a contrast to the other IAHHS meditation program she teaches, the intensive 7-day Developing Psychic Awareness course. When asked what the key difference is, Pam’s response is ‘Sheer force [impact]! The meditations in DPA are active meditations and it takes great dedication from the student, as it requires a time commitment of 7 very intensive days. The DPA course takes the student into a place of intense soul-searching, whereas Inner Nature and Chakras is, in the first instance at least, more about discovering that place of stillness within.’
Pam will be in Indianapolis, USA, teaching level 1 of the Inner Nature and Chakras program starting August 19. To sign-up for this training, or to train in DPA, Siam Reiki or any other supporting subjects with her, you can contact Pam through the IAHHS.

hanging by a thread ( by fran)
Hanging By a Thread Strengthening the connection with Pendulum Diagnosis For those of you who are new to the wonderful world of Pendulum Diagnosis, let’s start with a little background. So what exactly is a pendulum, what is it used for, and why would a Siam Reiki therapist use it? A Pendulum quite simply is an object – which in this context is most often a crystal shaped with a point, but can also be a piece of wood, metal or in fact pretty much any other object – which is connected to a chain, thread, string, or any other appropriate hanging-device. Most important is that the object at the end of the chord can swing freely in any direction when the chord is held. Pendulums and similar tools have been used in a variety of contexts throughout history for many hundreds of years - and in fact thousands of years if one considers the use of dowsing rods, believed to have been used by the Ancient Egyptians and other ancient cultures. The concept of a Pendulum also features in the folk tales of many different traditions in the form of a wedding ring tied to the end of a strand of their hair. So the idea of using a Pendulum as a tool through which to communicate with ‘unseen forces’ is no new thing. It is through these unseen forces that the user can receive answers to their questions. In the context of Pendulum Diagnosis as offered under the IAHHS and as a supporting subject for Siam Reiki, the interest in using the Pendulum is of course for healing purposes only (whilst it may seem like fun to know if you’re going to be winning the lottery next week, this does seem to be a bit of a deviation from the deeper essences of one’s soul journey – which are, after all, why you’ve found yourself here in the first place!). With so many other energies around us, and not all of them having our best intentions at heart - so to speak - when searching for answers for the purpose of our own healing or that of our clients, it is essential that that information is coming from the Highest of Good. It is for this reason that Pendulum Diagnosis is offered as a supporting subject for Siam Reiki therapists - who call on their Reiki Guides for assistance - rather than as a subject separate from it. Pendulum Diagnosis is offered as an option after the completion of Siam Reiki level 2, as from this stage onwards the Siam Reiki therapist will have enough energy flowing through them to receive clear and concise answers from their Guides through the Pendulum. So why is it that someone would choose to learn Pendulum Diagnosis? For most Siam Reiki therapists, it is from level 2 onwards that they will start to receive a host of information about their client during a treatment, and may often find that there are times in which it is difficult to clearly translate this information into something tangible to share with the client. In knowing how to use the Pendulum, the therapist is able to gain clarity on these pieces of information by asking the Pendulum yes-no questions. When the therapist comes across congested energy in a chakra, they can use the Pendulum to identify which body this relates to - physical, mental, emotional or spiritual - and get a timeline for when that congested energy originated. By asking their Guides intuitive questions (often based on images and/or a ‘feeling’) through the use of the Pendulum, they can then get a pretty clear picture about what the congested energy relates to, and are thus able to pass on this vital information to the client from a place of clarity and confidence. All of this information is stored in the Akashic Records, and Siam Reiki therapists are able to access this information through a combination of intuition and communication with their Guides; it is for this reason that a Siam Reiki therapist is able to give specifics about the cause of congested energy in a chakra, right down to the date and even time of a particular event, and of course the Pendulum can be very helpful in clarifying this information, especially for the less experienced therapist. The Pendulum can also be used prior to a treatment to identify which chakras are congested before the client is even on the table, and again in which body (or bodies) and to what the congested energy relates. There really are no limits as to the depth and wealth of information that can be channelled with the use of this simple and effective diagnostic tool, and thus its use really helps Siam Reiki therapists to gain in confidence and to trust in the information they are receiving, eliminating the confusion and self-doubt that many inexperienced therapists likely encounter in the earlier stages of their development. And the Pendulum is not only a fantastic tool for doing readings on clients or one’s self, but even stretches to being of assistance in everyday life when guidance from a higher source is required – as long as it’s kept within the context of healing, of course!
